
Sauk City is a village in Sauk County. The village has a population of 3,100 and was founded by Count Ágoston Haraszthy and Robert Bryant.
Sauk City is home to the first Culver's restaurant, opened in July 1984. Today Culver's headquarters are located in neighboring village Prairie Du Sac.
In 1914 Harper's Weekly named Sauk City "America's Foremost City."
